Charmed Began..... Making baby and kids items came accidentally about four years ago, around the time my sister was pregnant with my niece, Reagan. I initially took a sewing class so I could make items for my home like drapes and pillows. My sister started calling and asking me to make cute baby things and her requests led me down a new path…burp cloths, blankets, and aprons. The word started to get out around town, and I decided to officially start my very own business. Charmed, located in Libertyville , Illinois , started in 2004. My nieces and nephews, friends, family, and fashion trends all inspire me to keep my products modern, playful, and functional. I do many home shows and holiday boutiques each year, and you can also find Charmed products in many local retailers around Illinois and Wisconsin .

SwaddleDesigns was founded by Lynette Damir, a registered nurse and mother of two young children. While visiting families with new babies, Lynette found that parents struggled with swaddling because they didn’t have the right kind of blanket (most were too small or too thick) and they could not remember how to make a good secure swaddle.  Lynette wanted to share her knowledge of proper swaddling because she understood that parents needed help when trying to learn how to swaddle.  Lynette designed The Ultimate Receiving Blanket® with 123 Swaddle®  instructional tag sewn to its edge.  Lynette’s blanket has helped hundreds of thousands of new parents learn how to swaddle to calm and comfort their newborns. 

Lynette’s passion for helping new parents combined with her design background enabled her to develop the Ultimate Swaddling Blanket with its patent pending innovation.  When she designed her award winning product in 2002, many people did not know what the word swaddling meant.  Since that time, Lynette has received recognition for helping to build the awareness of the many benefits of swaddling.  The SwaddleDesigns blanket is truly a great value and keepsake that will be used and treasured for years.
